Cupe Local 79 Collective Agreement
The five-year collective agreements between CUPE Local 79 and the City of Toronto apply for the period january 1, 2020 to December 31, 2024, Saturday, June 27, 2020 – members of the Canadian Union of Local Public Employees 79 (CUPE Local 79) today ratified a five-year collective agreement for their four bargaining units in the City of Toronto: full-time, temporary part-time workers, Unit B part-time and long-term care homes and services. All CUPE members work under the protection of a contract called a collective agreement. Your local union negotiates the terms of the agreement. Elected local union leaders also work with the employer to resolve issues in the workplace. If you would like a hard copy of your collective agreement, please speak to your steward.
